Open Studio - Terrarium Care

Your terrarium is made with succulent plants. Succulents are the ideal houseplant, especially if you don’t have a green thumb!

Here are 3 Simple Care Tips!

1. Watering: Succulents don't need a lot of water! Only water "each" plant with about 1 to 2 tablespoons of water. Don't over water! Succulents don't like to sit in waterlogged soil. Allow the soil to completely dry out before watering again. To test your soil, stick your finger or a chopstick into the container as deep as you can, and then remove it. If you see thick clumps of soil on your finger or chopstick, there is still moisture and it does not need watering.

2. Sunlight: Your succulents need sunlight, but they don't necessarily require full sun or direct sunlight. Your terrarium will be perfect in a room, office or on a window sill where they can receive bright, indirect light.

3. Temperature and Humidity: Succulents thrive in warm environments. Keep room temperatures between 60°F and 80°F. Your plants can tolerate lower temperatures but may not grow as fast.

Your succulent plants need very little care beyond this. You can fertilize once a year to maintain your plants health, or change out its soil. The best soil is one specifically made for "succulents and cacti".  As your succulents outgrow it's container you can repot in another terrarium or open container.
